I purchased a dress on Tradesy (It was a Ted Baker midi dress) Seller said item was worn once with no visible signs of wear and tear. i got the dress in a few days and found what appeared to be small red wine stains on the front of the dress.

The dress was also too tight in the bodice. I initially selected wrong size in the return section but when I realized that there was no where for me to add that the dress was stained I called customer service. They said to return the dress and that Tradesy would make a decision about the stain. They gave me site credit because the stain wasnt prominent enough but if someone advertises something as no visible signs of wear to me the slightest stain should be reason enough to give the customer a full refund.

Trying to use the site credit has been a pain in the rear.

You wait days on end (sellers have up to 10 days to confirm they can ship the item) and then your order is canceled and have to repeat the process of pouring over their site to find something worth buying. Absolute waste of precious time.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $115.

Preferred solution: If current item pending is unavailable I want a refund of remaining credit. One seller already promised to ship on 10/3. So far I've had one oreder canceled and no response from another seller for 3 days..

Tradesy Cons: Business model poor protection.

I would like to return my purchase of louivuitton Alma Pm sachet leather brown bag but there is no authencity written inside the bag as posted,

And besides that, I could hardly contacted the Tradesy site credit on how to return the item that I have bought.,please send me the return track number number or I will send directly to the address written .

I need your immediately response because the Tradesy Member care

does not answer my email for my request.

I read on another post that you bought this dress from "Strawberry Fields", now you know you bought a return. I found your situation interesting and just wanted to bring up some points.

Ask Tradesy why it was returned? They wont tell you but ask anyway just to get them a little flustered. Regardless of what they say, Tradesy is the seller in your transaction so THEY represented the item to you as :"worn once with no visible signs of wear and tear". Well clearly it could NOT have been worn only ONCE, as the 1st buyer must have tried it on as well as the original owner!!

So it was worn at least twice :)

Since Tradesy controls the entire return process, there is a huge conflict of interest so you were never going to be treated impartially. You want to return the dress due to the stains, but Tradesy was the seller and they ALSO get to decide if it was misrepresented, as they said to you "Tradesy would make a decision about the stain". What do you think is going to happen? Of course they would say the stains weren't "prominent enough" as they don't want to refund you.

They lost money when it was returned the 1st time because they had to paid the original seller, so UNLESS they resell it that loss stands.

But you bought it and what you paid wipes out their loss. Now if you return it, they won't want to give you money because then they will have the original loss again. Giving you a site credit allows them to keep the money and they get to offer the dress for sale again !!!

Ask them how it is fair for the SELLER to determine if the stains weren't prominent enough to be misrepresented ? No other seller on Tradesy gets to do that.
