Not Authentic Louis Vuitton bags
I bought 2 Louis Vuitton bags for my daughters for Christmas. They do not appear to be genuine and additionally they arent as advertised, as they were much smaller than pictured.
They will not return my money and I certainly dont want to purchase another bag....they are offering store credit but I am out over $1200 and dont want another bag.
I wanted the Louis Vuitton but its not reliable so just stuck. After numerous emails they continue to just say they will give a credit only even though their returns policy says Guaranteed Authentic or money will be refunded!

You get a D from the BBB I wish I would have checked with them before.. Kathy, and Meghan are the other bosses that will not talk to you via phone (that was what I was told by Patrick) I want my funds I was lied to look it up yourself.
I want my 493.00 first I was told you don't sell Mario Valentino (there are over 100 bags from the same designer on there) then I was told by Kathy, my product was not real. What one is it!!! I want my funds.
I'm sure Saks will be thrilled to know your saying there products are not real. I have the receipts for all my bags I purchased all of them from Saks 5th ave.

Scammers! Stay away from this site!
Bought a counterfeit Louis Vuitton bag on this site for $599. It smelled like PVC and had no signs of wear.
It was supposed to be a used bag supposedly made in 1995. It had uneven and crooked stitches and was obviously a knockout. Sent it back immediately .
Tradesy's customer service argued the bag was authentic , they even claimed that Louis Vuitton's representative came and authenticated it.
They refused to issue me a refund and offered store credit only . Had to spent countless time on phone calls, e-mails back and forth with their customer service, threaten them with small claim court and file a dispute with my credit card issuer in order to get my money back.
Highly recommend to stay away from this site.

Tradesy not responsive to sellers
I recently sold a Ralph Lauren genuine leather jacket. I was very excited because it is the first item I sold on this site after listing it four months ago. I did not get very much for it but it's ok since I won't be wearing it anymore. Tradesy sent me a shipping kit but it is just a cheap plastic bag and it was too small for the bulky jacket.
I emailed them asking for a replacement shipping kit, a larger bag with prepaid postage. Then I get an email saying I should use my own shipping materials and print out the prepaid label and ship the item. What? I pay them an administrative fee and I do the work?
I'm cancelling the sale as I will actually lose money if I follow through with what they tell me to do. I will remove my listings and cancel my account with them.

Cancel Order
I purchased a bag and immediately realized I had made an error. I went on Tradesy's site and followed their cancellation policy and immediately sent a nice, truthful, message to seller explaining my error and asked to have my order cancelled.
Seller replied hours later saying she sent bag out and it was too late....on a Sunday? Oddly enough she had not even confirmed the sale. A true LIAR indeed! Throughout this process, I was in touch with Tradesy and they stated they could not do anything other than accept a return by me and issue site credit!
A DESPERATE Seller!! Stay clear of LAU Closet.

Tradesy Sells Fake Bottega Venetta Bags - Stay Away
Absolutely horrible experience. Seller described color and bag totally wrong. No authentic serial numbers, leather was more like vinyl. Color off, handles wrong.
Tradesy at first said send it back...we'll refund. We did that, and they immediately email saying it's real and they verified. They never addressed the fact the wrong color was sent and the bag's handle doesn't match any bags sold in stores.
They then offered to give a store credit for $2,000. For what? To spend on another fake bag?
Horrible experience. Out $2K for a fake $50 bag.
Stay away kids. I don't trust anything on this site.

Employees have no idea. Buyers also have no idea half of the time.
We only purchase direct from the factory stores, and we get complaints for fakes all the time. Funny, I just purchased the bag yesterday at the Gucci store personally, it never left my sight all day til I shipped it to you.
I have also sold thousands of Gucci bags, and am pretty sure I can tell what's real and what's not. But I'm sure you are right, because your cousin got one for her bday and yours just "feels different" ;)
On the same token, sometimes Buyers complain about fakes without having a clue. We sell around $1 million per year on various platforms, and get approximately 50 complaints of fake per year.
Mind you, we purchase inventory direct from the manufacturers and have receipts for each bag (Gucci, Michael Kors, Burberry, etc.) It's extremely frustrating experience having to deal with know it all buyer that "felt" that the bag was fake. Sometimes they claim they took it to a store and they told them it was fake. Hilarious. Most of the time is "my cousin has one and this one feels different" type of thing.
My favorite one, however, is the "I brought it to Macy's and the employee there told me it was fake"... Half of the time the employees at Gucci and Michael Kors have no *** idea what I'm talking about when I'm at the store asking for models and colors. They got a job 30 days ago, and go back to college next month. I've sold bags millions of their bags...
I only wish Buyers did a little research before they cried "fake" all the time.
I started sending pictures of complaining Buyers, with me holding the bag and the receipt at the store, next to the shelf with all the other bags while shaking hands with the GM.
It's true - people who work at Gucci and Versace are only salespeople, and are not qualified to authenticate merchandise. I called Versace personally in the past, and the lady told me this.
Bottom line - you have to know what to look for. There are so many fakes out there, and so many people don't know when they're being ripped off.
***, sometimes sellers don't know they're selling a fake! They bought it from a second-hand store or on eBay and think it's authentic.
I also believe their authentication process is a joke. Tradesy does not want to resell a high end bag and return your money so 9 times out of 10 they will say the bag is real. My advice DO NOT buy a luxury brand on Tradesy unless you want to run the risk of losing your money.
